Four rail crossings in the City are scheduled to be reconstructed in May. Maps are available on the City's website. The dates for reconstruction and the locations were established by Wisconsin & Southern Railroad. During the reconstruction, the entire road and the sidewalks will be closed. Cars and pedestrians will not be able to cross. Below are the dates when the work is expected to be completed, all weather permitting.
- Rogers Street - Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17
- Elm Street - Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17
- John Paul Road - Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 24
- Plumb Street - Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, June 1
The reconstruction of the John Paul Road crossing will likely have the largest community impact. Please be aware of the official detour (High Street to Janesville Street to Madison Avenue), which is included with the intersection maps on the website.
