The Parks & Recreation Commission will be hosting a community meeting at the Milton Public Library, 430 E. High Street, on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. to introduce the Story Gardens project.
Story Gardens will be an all-ages destination located in the outdoor space at the Milton Public Library that combines a love of nature, books, and art. The idea began when the Parks & Recreation Commission, Milton Public Library Board and staff, and community partners envisioned an outdoor space that would attract residents and those living outside of Milton to enjoy these beautiful elements together.
In order to make this project a success, the Parks & Recreation Commission is looking for design ideas, volunteers for planting and construction, and partners to help fund the improvements. For more information on the project, the Parks & Recreation Commission encourages everyone to attend the community meeting on April 17th, contact Assistant to the City Administrator Inga Cushman at (608) 868-6900 ext. 5, or Library Director Lisa Brooks at (608) 868-7462.
