On Thursday, August 4, 2016, the City of Milton Public Safety Committee and city staff are hosting an open forum on community safety. The purpose of the forum is to provide a listening session to solicit citizen input on safety issues in the City of Milton. It also provides an opportunity for citizens to meet elected and appointed officials who are responsible for leading and prioritizing safety solutions in the city. Participants will include representatives from the Public Safety Committee, the Department of Public Works, the Milton Fire Department, the Milton Police Department, the Milton School District and others. Topics may include crosswalk safety, safety improvements at school district buildings, outdoor burning, and fireworks ordinances. However, all citizens are invited share any safety concern they may have beyond these suggested topics.
