The Compost and Yard Waste Drop Off Site located at the Public Works Facility, 150 Northside Drive, will close on Monday, December 2, 2013. It will reopen late April 2014.
Compost and Yard Waste Drop-Off Site RulesDATES: April 22, 2013 – December 2, 2013Compost and yard waste may be brought to the Department of Public Works Garage at 150 Northside Drive. There is a designated container at the Public Works Garage. All non-biodegradable containers must be emptied and taken home by the people dropping off compost or placed in the trashcan next to the drop-off site. There is no fee for compost yard waste drop-off.
Accepted Items: Grass clippings, leaves, small twigs, raw garden waste, tree seeds, pine cones, flowering plants and other materials deemed acceptable by Public Works representative.
Non-Accepted Items: Food waste, tree branches, firewood, plastic bags, paper bags, cardboard, trash and other items deemed unacceptable by Public Works representative.
