In partnership with the Civic Health of Wisconsin Initiative, the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies at UW-Madison organized the 2022 CommUnity Conference around civic health in Wisconsin and beyond. As a follow-up to that event, the City of Milton is hosting a regional CommUnity Conversation on civic health on May 11 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 710 S. Janesville Street.
The goal of the CommUnity Conversations are to:
- Share timely, relevant information on civic heath topics.
- Engage in regionally-focused dialogue, where Wisconsinites reflect on the barriers, opportunities, and ongoing efforts impacting civic health in their community.
- Grow our inventory of civic health efforts, to catalyze connection across communities.
- Raise awareness of the Wisconsin-wide Civic Health Initiative.
The event will feature community panels on elections and civic engagement of youth, conversation, and refreshments.
We hope you can join us!
While there is no charge to attend the event, we are asking for attendees to register by May 1 to assist in planning for the event.
