The City of Milton will be welcoming the first Born Learning Trail to the community at Crossridge Park next week thanks to United Way Blackhawk Region and the sponsor, Diamond Assets.
Born Learning is an innovative public engagement campaign that helps parents, caregivers and communities create quality early learning opportunities for young children.
A Born Learning Trail contains 10 (12″ x 24″) colorful and interactive signs with activities for adults to engage in with young children to turn an outdoor trip into a fun learning experience. Trail signs are provided in English and Spanish (other languages may be available upon request).
Stop! Learn! Play! encourages parents and caregivers to follow the child’s lead, building the child’s curiosity and confidence, and reinforcing the learning already under way.
About the Milton Trail
The trail will start by the public parking lot near the Parker YMCA and continue to where the trail intersects with the trail loop around the northern portion of the park.
Volunteers participating in United Way Blackhawk Region's annual Day of Caring on September 14 will paint the artwork on the trail. The 10 signs in English and Spanish are being installed by the Public Works Department. The path was freshly seal coated as well for the project.
