The total number of absentee ballots issued as of 5 p.m. on Friday, August 5, is 373, including 83 in-person ballots. At this time, 291 ballots have been returned (including in-person ballots), and 77 have not been returned. There were 5 returned as undeliverable.
Residents are not able to register to vote or absentee vote the Monday before an election.
Absentee ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted. At this time, staff recommends dropping off your absentee ballot at City Hall during regular office hours or at the polls on Election Day. Only the person who requested the absentee ballot can drop off the completed ballot at City Hall. Spouses, relatives, or others who are not the person who requested the ballot may NOT return the completed absentee ballot for another person.
The polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. All City of Milton residents vote in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 710 S. Janesville Street. Voters are able to register to vote on Election Day. Please be sure to bring proof of residence if you need to register to vote, like your driver license with your current address or a utility bill. Also bring a photo ID in order to vote on Election Day.
