Spring Election Information

The Spring Election will be held April 5, and the polls at City Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Offices on the ballot are Court of Appeals Judge District 4, County Supervisor District 5, Alderperson, and School District of Milton School Board member. The sample ballot is available for viewing at City Hall, on the MyVote website (www.myvote.wi.gov), and on the City’s website

Time to Check Your Voter Registration!

If you are new to the City of Milton or moved to a different address within the City, you will need to register to vote. Community members could mail their Voter Registration application or complete the process at www.myvote.wi.gov through March 16. After the cut-off date of March 16, electors are only permitted to register in person at City Hall until the Friday preceding Election Day, April 1, or on Election Day. Acceptable proof of residency is required for all options.

Can’t Get to the Polls on Election Day?

Not a problem! Request an absentee ballot online at myvote.wi.gov, submit an absentee ballot application to City Hall, or send a request in writing by email or mail to the City Clerk’s Office, 710 S Janesville Street. No matter how you request an absentee ballot a copy of your Photo ID may be required. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Thursday, March 31. Please be sure to allow for mailing time, as the ballot must be returned by Election Day at 8 p.m.

In-person absentee voting will begin Tuesday, March 22, and continue until Friday, April 1, at City Hall during office hours. The office will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 1. Don’t forget to bring an acceptable photo ID.

Important Election Dates

  • March 22 - April 1 – In-Office Absentee Voting
  • March 31 (5 p.m.) – Deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed
  • April 1 – Last day of In-Office Absentee Voting, 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. at City Hall 
  • April 4 – No voting or registering to vote 
  • April 5 – Spring Election
