On June 21, 2021, the City of Milton mailed out assessment notices for properties in which there was a change in assessment from 2020 to 2021. The City of Milton underwent a property revaluation in 2021, and as a result a majority of the properties had a change in valuation. The average increase was 19% and will result in the mill/tax rate decreasing by approximately 19% before accounting for increases in the budgets. Any budget increases are still restricted by levy limits and other restrictions imposed by the Wisconsin Legislature.
If you do not receive your notice or it was misplaced and want to know what your new assessment is, you can visit the following websites:
If you would like to discuss your assessment or make an appointment during Open Book with City Assessor Paul Musser, please contact him directly to schedule an appointment or talk over the phone:
It is recommended property owners contact Assessor Musser early in the process to ensure he is able to dedicate sufficient time to each case.
