Rock County Logo with text "Free COVID-19 Testing at BTC"

Rock County, Wisconsin Press Release

Rock County, WI – Changes will be occurring at the COVID-19 community testing site located at Blackhawk Technical College beginning Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Testing will be changing from a drive-through method to an indoor walk-in method. This change will ensure that COVID testing can remain open regardless of outdoor temperature.

The testing will take place in Parking Lot H, adjoining the former test area. Please continue to enter off of Highway 51 and follow the signs on campus. You will remain in your vehicle until it is your turn for testing. We ask for your patience while we adjust our process.

Free COVID-19 testing is available weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Blackhawk Technical College – Central Campus, located at 6004 South County Highway G, Janesville WI. Testing is planned to continue weekly through March 10th, 2021. Pre-registration is strongly recommended but the public can register themselves on-site if necessary. Please pre-register at register.covidconnect.wi.gov. A Spanish-language interpreter will be available periodically for those who don’t speak English.

In collaboration with Rock County and the Wisconsin National Guard, 650 COVID-19 tests per day are available to anyone five years and older. Testing is encouraged for those with COVID-19 symptoms including:

  • Shortness of Breath
  • Sore Throat
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle Pain
  • Nausea or Vomiting
