The Board of Review will meet on Wednesday, September 23, at 6 p.m. The Board of Review is comprised of five citizens, and the purpose is to hear property assessment objections and to certify the assessment rolls. If you are a property owner and you have concerns about your assessment, you can appear before the Board of Review to present information to potentially have your assessment changed.
The deadline to provide the City Clerk, who serves as the Board of Review Clerk, with an intent to file an objection is Monday, September 21, at 6 p.m. This can be a written or oral notice. It’s preferred to also file a written objection on this date/time as well, but the law allows a property owner to submit their written objection during the first two hours of the Board of Review meeting. The official objection forms are available at City Hall or online:
If you have any questions about the process, please contact City Clerk Leanne Schroeder at (608) 868-6900 ext. 2 or by email at lschroeder@milton-wi.gov.
