The City of Milton is starting the process of developing a strategic plan to assist in guiding decisions over the next five years. Input from the community is needed in order to make the strategic plan as effective as possible and reflective of our community.
Community members have a couple options to be involved in the strategic planning process:
- Submit an application to be considered for the Community Workshop Group or the High School Student Focus Group – Both applications are available on the City’s website (www.milton-wi.gov/StrategicPlan). The meetings for these groups will be conducted online via the platform Zoom.
- Complete the Community Survey available on the City’s website (www.milton-wi.gov/StrategicPlan) and paper copies are available at City Hall, 710 S. Janesville Street.
“The strategic planning process is important for the City of Milton to complete in order for the Common Council and staff to guide the community through the potentially turbulent times that are ahead due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mayor Anissa Welch said. “The City of Milton wants to be prepared as we may need to make more difficult decisions than usual in the coming years.”
“We encourage our community members to be involved in the process by completing the survey or applying for the Community Workshop Group or High School Student Focus Group so the completed strategic plan reflects the values and needs of our whole community,” City Administrator Al Hulick said.
Additional information about the strategic planning process is available on the City’s website (www.milton-wi.gov/StrategicPlan) or you can contact Administrator Hulick, at (608) 868-6900 ext. 6 or by e-mail at ahulick@milton-wi.gov.
