As our traditional parade has been cancelled this year, an alternative event, the 4th of July Community Parade, is taking place Saturday, July 4, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Residences and businesses signed up to decorate their homes for the 4th of July using the theme "The Heart of Milton." The map of all of the entrants is available on the City’s website (https://tinyurl.com/y7ugjxox). Community members are invited to drive around the community and see the decorated homes and businesses between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the 4th of July. The top three decorated homes and businesses will receive awards, and one location will receive the "People’s Choice Award."
If you want to vote for your favorite home or business for the People’s Choice Award, text Parade Coordinator Derek Henze at 262-473-9585 or email him at derek.henze@edwardjones.com.
Regular parade entrants who still want to participate in an alternative, a parade-like tour of the City, are invited to drive the established parade loop around the City between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the 4th of July. The map is available on the City’s website (https://tinyurl.com/yagh3cy5). There is not a designated starting time or starting location. All those who choose to drive the parade loop must obey all rules of the road because streets will not be closed for the event. More information about expectations is available on the City’s website: www.milton-wi.gov/362/4th-of-July.
