The Rock County Public Health Department announced today they are moving to Phase 2 of their Reopening Phased Plan and updating some of their guidance. The press release is available on the City’s website.
With the County moving into Phase 2 of their reopening plan, the City of Milton will begin to move into Phase 2 of our Reopening Phased Plan approved by the Common Council at their meeting on June 2.
However, due to the change in guidance from Rock County, certain aspects of the City of Milton Reopening Phased Plan will be reevaluated and potentially modified to match the new guidance from the County. As the City enters Phase 2 of its reopening plan, we will update the community regarding which facilities will be open and what procedural changes may take place in order to ensure the safety of the public and our staff.
The City of Milton would like to thank the community for its patience and resiliency through this difficult time. However, please remember that although Rock County and the City of Milton will be moving into Phase 2, the virus is still active in our community. We continue to ask you, our community members, to practice physical distancing, wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and consider wearing a cloth face covering when you leave your home.
