The 4th of July Parade has been reenvisioned as a Community Parade featuring decorated homes and businesses.
Community members will be invited to enter their homes and businesses into the community parade and decorate them based on this year’s theme "The Heart of Milton." They can sign up online or a pdf copy of the form will be available later this week. All forms must be submitted by June 28 at noon.
Community members will then be invited to drive the established Community Parade Loop to view the homes and businesses between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the 4th of July. A map will be available the week of the 4th of July.
Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Best Decorated Homes, Top 3 Best Decorated Businesses, and Overall People’s Choice Award voted on via email by the community.
Regular parade participants are encouraged to drive the established Community Parade Loop on the 4th of July between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. as well; however, they must follow these guidelines:
- Operate within the normal legal conditions of driving down a street because there will be no street closures (must stay in lane, no walkers, etc.)
- No walkers and please do not hand out candy or other items
- Additional information available on the City’s website
