Absentee Voting
In-Person Absentee Voting Dates and Times:
September 26 - November 4, 2016:
  • Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Friday, November 4, 2016 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Absentee voting in the Clerk's Office occurs as soon as we receive ballots before an election and ends at 5:00 pm the Friday before the election.  

There are several ways you can request an absentee ballot.

In the hospital (Not earlier than 7 days before an election):
  • If you are in the hospital and unable to go to the polls on Election Day, you can receive an absentee ballot by appointing an agent to deliver and return your completed ballot.  The elector, assigned agent, and a witness need to complete the absentee request form.  To obtain a ballot in the hospital, you can use this form: Hospitalized Absentee Ballot Request (page link).  
  • This option is available not earlier than 7 days before an election through Election Day.

Additional Guidelines
  • All requests to have ballots mailed must be received prior to 5:00 pm on the Thursday prior to Election Day
  • Voted absentee ballots can either be dropped off at City Hall prior to the polls closing at 8:00 pm on Election Day or mailed back to City Hall.  All ballots must be received by 8:00 pm on Election Day to be counted.
